This microlot comes from the farm of Emmanuel Rutsatira, located near the borders of Uganda and Congo. The area is known for its rich volcanic soil, thanks to the six volcanic peaks of the Virunga Mountains. Nearby is also a reserve that is home to many silverback gorillas.
The coffee is processed using the Honey method—a semi-washed, semi-natural technique that enhances the natural sweetness and brings perfect balance to the already sweet profile typical of coffees from this region.
